Archers coming trough Ballina on the N59, continue through Ballina and take the N59 for Crossmolina (approx 7 miles). You will pass a water tower about 3 miles out. From the water tower it is approx 4 miles to Crossmolina. Drive through the village, past GAA pitch (home to the All-Ireland Club Champions) and up the hill past the Dolphin Hotel. Take the first left (at the monument) R315. Also signposted at this junction is the North Mayo Heritage Centre (Enniscoe House), which is approx 1.5 miles on the left.
Continue on the Castlebar road to Lahardaune. 2.5 miles from Crossmolina there is a fork in the road, keep left to Castlebar. Lahardaune is approx 4 miles from Crossmolina, drive through village and keep to the left Castlebar Road (R315). You will pass a townland called Addergoole and as you approach the shoot you will see the wood in the distance in front of you. 0.4 miles from Lahardaune take the road to the left, a short distance on the entrance for the shoot will be signposted.
